| Maybe we are acting a
little too fast, but I have a feeling that it might be
the moment to declare everything on the INFRACom! label
collectable. This label based in Germany surprised us a
couple of months ago with the Fast Forward compilation
(yes you should have bought it, the track Stereo Softbar
by Hacienda more than justifies this investment) and now
this "Tribes of da Underground vol 4" strikes
in full effect. The kind of music can maybe be best
described as intelligent african jazzgroove rythms. Most
tracks are a brilliant mixture between very percussive
jams and moody jazzy organs as well as synth chords. The
ingredients of jazz, disco, houze, samba, funk and
triphop are very subtle and clean mixed. On this
compilation you can find true gems from Fred Everything
presents King of Blues and "Theme from
tomorrow", Guem & Zake and "Le
serpent" and maybe one of the killer tracks : Fusion
Forum and "Summer Mist". The Tribes of da Underground compilation plays on the edge between relaxing sitback sofa music and irresistable exotic sounding funky african dance rhythms. A collection that will undoubtly provide us with countless hours of sheer music pleasure and mind trips. Check it out. ez/98 |
