LTJ Bukem
Journey Inwards
2xCD Good Looking
In a couple of years, LTJ Bukem also acquired himself the status of superb artist. And with his latest album, he proves even more how polyvalent he is. We especially like the loungy chillout tracks he mixes with his more traditional atmospheric drum'n'bass tracks. Take "Sunrain" for example, a track that catches your attention immediately with all elements aboard to make a great composition. An smooth loungy acid jazz outfit with delicate vocals and guitar riffs. Simply breathtaking ! Or go for "Inner Guidance", offering more state of the art chillout vibes with flutes on warm basslines. And if that was not enough, taste "Journey Inwards" or "Unconditional Love".
And yes, there is LTJ Bukem on drum'n'bass as well, with "Close to the source", "Suspended space", "Watercolours" and "Rhodes of freedom" among the best. And yes, LTJ Bukem explores slightly into more deephouze vibes with "Feel what you feel". The double album, Journey Inwards is clearly targeted at home listening, car tripping or smokey cafe experiences as it doesn't really feature dancefloor music. A great album without doubt, proving LTJ Bukem still has it !
