Chill Out café
volume uno, due, tre
3xCD 3xLP Irma
It's midnight, on an endless highway we drive, to an unknown destiny, glooming city lights far away, whirling little leaves of trees in a cold autumn breeze indicating the advent of a winter on a deserted road to nowhere. Inside that little car it's warm, four people with minds drifting away, far away, to brazilian cocktail parties, to memories of lovemaking at the beach at sunset, to the loaded sophisticated atmosphere of a chillout room, to a friday night by candlelight in the garden of Vivianne, to the intense experience of a live act by Zooloop, to wherever our wildest imagination can lead us... Yes, this is a Freestyle car trip and on such a car trip music of Chill Out café compilations would fit perfectly but we wouldn't know as Ez can never remember what's on the tape, can he ? So, Freestylers, you might as well checkout the Chill Out Café compilations next time you ask for titles, right ?
All this to say that Irma got it right for this series. Yes, Irma has a huge catalogue, and so many releases that lots fall beyond the Freestyle quality level, but despite the little dubious atmosphere that surrounds all these Ibiza-like compilations these days, Chill Out Café is definitely worth recommending. Featuring quite a lot of unreleased tracks, it's a nice mixture of everything warm and nice in the spectrum between laidback acid jazz to moody deephouze.

Get these compilations and have a Freestyle car trip experience yourself! Hmm, we might as well put a huge label on it: "Freestyle car trip approved"
